What Broken Chains Does
The Broken Chains Recovery Center is a faith-based organization that helps people in the Corpus Christi and Coastal Bend community break free from addiction and rebuild stable, independent lives. Through a Christian-centered approach, Broken Chains provides mentoring, recovery meetings, and encouragement, along with a safe, sober living environment for individuals who have fallen on hard times. Broken Chains is the only sober living facility in the area offering recovery support group meetings 365 days a year, and roughly 13,000 Coastal Bend residents attend those meetings annually. The organization works to restore hope, accountability, and a sense of belonging for people working to overcome addiction and avoid returning to unhealthy environments.
Funds Used
Charity League will be raising funds for improvements to the Broken Chains facility, including kitchen and resident bathroom renovations, laundry upgrades with commercial-grade equipment, air-conditioning and heating improvements, and repair or replacement of transport vehicles. All excess funds raised will be used for additional facility improvements, furnishings, equipment, and technology that support residents’ recovery, education, and job readiness.
